No7 Beautifully Matte Foundation Review

Hello everyone!
If you know me and my oily skin, you'll know I'm constantly on the lookout for a good foundation that will keep me matte all day. Obviously because the name of the foundation: 'Beautifully Matte' I was instantly drawn to this, and of course my love of No7 of a brand.

Mini Target Haul

Hello everyone!
I was wondering what kind of post to share with you today and I thought why not throw all three together! So in terms of the 'lifestyle' aspects in this post, I'm sharing my Target shopping obsession with you haha. But seriously though, I could spend hours upon hours there just wondering around and looking at all the bits and pieces they have. And possibly spending a little too much time in the makeup section.

I'm considering this post to be fashion and beauty because of the contents of this mini haul. I'll start with the white mesh pen holder. I'm not really thinking of using this as a pen holder but more so to hold makeup brushes, because if you were unaware I won the Style Of Colours collab giveaway with Nanshy and other bloggers. So because my other makeup holder as become slightly....crowded due to some other new additions I thought it was high time I opted for a new one to hold some new additions. The little 'notes' book you see there is really rather cute. If you follow me on instagram you will have already seen this little beauty in a picture as I had to show off how cute the cover is. In contrast to what it says on the front though, it really is more than just notes. It has a monthly planner in the front and contacts but largely just notes. I was looking for a 'planner' but I really did only need a by monthly planner rather than weekly because those slightly bother me. But I had to grab this because it's just so cute!

Anyway, next is the NYX Love in Paris eye shadow palette. I picked this up because I was in the market for a small little palette I could take with me on my trip back to England (which I'm already on by the time you're reading this, yay!) that was kind of small to pack up in my makeup bag, but has a lot of mutual shades, but also because I really wanted to try some more things from NYX as I've only ever tried their soft matte lip creams (which are excellent may I say).

Lastly, this beautiful jumper which you'll have already seen if you caught my 'Mock Neck Jumper Outfit' post. Can I just say, the bargains you can find in the Target sales are great. This jumper sets a great example being around $12.50 at 30% off! I love the way this jumper looks because like I've said before I love the mock neck jumper trend, but high necks don't always suit me so this is kind of more subtle but still follows the trend.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I'll see you soon!

My In-Flight Essentials

Hello Everyone!!

I thought I would share with you some of my essentials I need in my carry-on for when I fly. Some of these things might not be completely necessary but really help me when I travel to not only keep my occupied but prepared for the trip.

First up is only slightly in the picture above but it's a hoodie. I find this so necessary because I love to layer when I'm traveling because temperatures change when you're going from the airport to the plane and throughout the journey, so this way you can layer to the perfect temperature.

Next I always make sure I have a book or some work to do. For this trip I have some school work, which explains my variety of coloured pens, notebooks and textbooks. This keeps me occupied if I have a layover at the airport and need something to keep me busy and not bored.

A small mirror because I don't wear any makeup on the plane so I like to make sure that I look decent before I get off the plane. Which brings me onto my next essential...

In the transparent green bag on the right of the photo I keep basic makeup items like a mascara, lip balm and concealer and that's it for my makeup! Which I only use just before I get off the flight. In there I also keep a moisturiser because flights take so much moisture out of your skin and can actually make me even oilier. There's a pop out hair brush with a mirror on the other side (I love those!), a baby lotion (again for moisture), hand sanitiser, lip moisturiser and some paracetamol.

Of course, a real essential is my purse. This contains the majority of my money, and gift cards I could use at the airport etc. Very self-explanatory but very necessary.

Next, one of my favourites: snacks! I always bring snacks with me because I don't eat plane food, just because of my allergies I like to be really careful. So if I don't eat lunch I can at least have something to tide me over, or at least if I get a little peckish.

Lastly, I have a little plastic wallet which is at the top of the photo. This contains some money (because I don't like to keep it all in one place incase I lose it), my passport, flight itinerary, boarding passes and any other papers I may need.

What are some of your travel essentials?
I hope you enjoyed this post and it's helped you out for the next time you travel! Speak to you soon!

Bare Minerals Loose Eyeshadow

Hello everyone!

If you've noticed from some of my previous 'makeup look' posts that I generally do seasonally, you may have noticed they don't usually contain a huge amount of eyeshadow if any. But over the past two months or so since I purchased an eyeshadow primer I have been playing around with different looks on a daily basis just to try and see what works for me and what I like the most etc, and I was only really doing this with a small palette I got a year or so ago. So I asked for a couple new eyeshadows for Christmas and received this lovely set from BareMinerals, so of course swatched everything on my hand immediately, however the immediate colour pay-off wasn't amazing so it took me a couple days before I actually decided to use them.

Despite not having the best pigmentation when swatched and I even had to build up the layers of the product on my hand just to get that photo. But I was pleasantly surprised when I started putting the product on my eyelids. They're not overly pigmented to the point where to you have to be really careful about applying it and where you get it. But with these they feel almost creamy, and are so soft and smooth to apply. Which in this instance I actually used my fingers to apply the lighter base colour 'Champagne Satin' because it felt so lovey haha.

The formula of these lasts all day long, of course I applied a primer before hand but even still it was the ELF mineral primer and my previous eyeshadows would still crease on my eyes by the end of the days, but these do not.

These are exactly the colours I would choose even if I hadn't received them in a set. I love neutral colours and I feel like they're definitely the easiest to wear. Not only does the lighter shade 'Champagne Satin' look great as a base for the eye, but would look great on its own or even as a highlight for the browbone and inner corner.

Champagne Satin
Smoky Amber
I am definitely sold for going and purchasing more of these. However, one thing I can say about these is that when you open them for the first time it can be a little tricky, or maybe it's just me haha. If you get stuck all you have to do is pull off the sticker covering the shadow. I know that sounds straight forward, but because there's an arrow on it I though you had to twist the pot to open it haha. So just be aware, but I'm sure you can figure out faster than I did.

Hope you enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments some of your favourite eyeshadows.
