My Favourite Christmas Pintrests

Hello everyone! Just in time for Christmas I have a post with my favourite Christmas themed posts that I've seen on Pinterest recently. I have seen a few bloggers do this, and I loved the idea so I decided to do a similar thing. I have range from a couple of DIY's, mixed in with decor ideas and Christmas scenes.

No7 Winter Makeup Look!

Hello everyone, Hope you're well. I have a post about one of my favourite makeup brands today, and one that I don't think gets mentioned enough in the beauty blogger world: No7. I have loved this company for many years now, and actually the first makeup piece I ever purchased was from them. A small little mascara that I used in the lower years of Secondary school, which was all I wore at that time.

Christmas Wishlist // Part 2: Skincare

Hello again everyone, hope you're having a great day! I have to say I'm slightly proud of myself for the amount I have been posting and keeping up my consistency and I promise to keep it up! Thank you so much to all of you reading this and all of my other posts. I just wanted to take a second you thank you all haha:)

This post I have for you today is Part 2 of my Christmas Wishlist. If you saw the first part which was the makeup wishlist, you will have read that these are my introductory posts to a new series I am starting called 'Wishlists Wednesday'. So if you want to see more of these kinds of post every Wednesday, make sure you follow me on Bloglovin'!

Like I said in my last Christmas Wishlist post I am trying to keep it light in terms of how much I write because we all know how I can keep talking (typing) but again..I just wanted to say. These wishlists are proving so much fun to make, I was scrolling through for more Skincare items to add to this list, and I found so many things not only to add to this wish list but that I actually might to get because the majority if not all have really great reviews, so these posts might not be helping my bank account. Oops.

The Christmas Tag!!

Hello everyone! Hope you're having a very festive day.
I was tagged by RimmelSmudge to do this tag. I think this tag is such a lovely idea, being able to share with you some of the things I tend to do this time of year and at Christmas by answering the questions. So before I get too rambly let's get started!....

Christmas Wishlist // Part 1: Make-up

Hello everyone!! Hope you're having a lovely Christmas Season!

Today I am doing a post for a new series I'm starting called: 'Wishlist Wednesday'. This particular post being The Christmas edition // Part 1: make up. However, I'm going to switch things up today. As you know if you've read my other posts I can tend to get a bit rambly haha. But today I'm just going to try and keep it light. Just to add in this post is in US and UK currency for some items depending

Something I will say before I show you my wishlist is, while I was looking for some of these beauty items (as I already had a few ideas, but not a great deal) it was nice to be choosing the 'top rated' category in the options drop down list instead of 'Price low-high' or something similar haha. Just a nice change.

The Best Lengthening Mascara?

Hello again everyone, hope you're doing well!!

I am so excited for the post today as in my recent move over the last month I've been super busy getting back from my trip home to England and trying to sort things out here. I have been on a hunt for quite a while now trying to find a really good mascara for me, as I have such tiinnyyy eye lashes I am always looking for a lengthening mascara but also one that holds a curl as my lashes are straight so they tend to drop after a couple hours of mascara if that makes sense haha, even with an eyelash curler. I'm also really annoyed with myself as I've wanted to do this post for a little while now but actually threw out the box that this product came in so I'm really sorry about that but I hope you enjoy this anyway!!:)

Updated Makeup Storage

Hello again everyone, hope you've been keeping warm in this cold weather we've been having everywhere!!

I have a post today with my updated makeup storage, the last time I did this was only  a couple of months ago I believe, however since I've moved it's all completely changed so I thought I would share it with you!

I really love how this has turned out, the table/vanity featured in the photos is actually from Amazon and it wasn't a bad price at all, it came very well packaged, not a scratch on it, and already completely assembled we just had to twist the legs in on the stool as well as the table. So really I would recommend this, I've also seen this table featured in 'Mammamiamakeup' s youtube channel so here's a link to the video where you can see it. Anyway lets get started!!

This is an overview of the entire vanity, some makeup items I have in the tiny drawers and others I have sitting on top in make up storage you will have been in my last post about my makeup storage you will have been in my last post about my makeup storage if you saw that post.

This is a closer post of the drawers so you can see how teeny tiny they are. I honestly don’t really know what would be suitable to go in these drawers, especially the top ones other than make up or like pens or something because they are quite small but it does depend what you would use it for.

On top of the vanity in this first piece of storage the majority of makeup is purely lip products. The bottom drawer is full of red/darker coloured lip products, crayons, lip gloss, lipsticks all of that type just in similar colours. The top drawer is lighter coloured products: corals and pinks, that kind of colour. On top at the front lipstick holders I have 3 rimmel london lipsticks lined up simply because that's the only thing they can really hold, not much else can fit in the space and since they are the same brand I thought it looked a bit nicer. In the back on the left I have my concealers: 2 from No7 and the other for Rimmel. On the other side I have some mascara's and an eye liner. In the main section of this holder I keep some foundations/base products from the likes of Clinique, Rimmel, No7, L'oreal.

As you can see on the sides of this storage on the left I have a pot of all of my brushes and my used mascara that I use everyday which is actually from No7. There will actually be a post coming up soon surrounding No7 products as I feel they aren't talked about as much as other brands, so make sure you're on a look out for that post!! Anyway in front of my brushes is a trial size of a clinique moisturiser and a Body Shop face mist. On the opposite side of the storage is the mirror I use for eye liner and to check my makeup all looks blended and everything,I love this because there is actually a light that you can turn on to see everything better (especially helpful in the evening!) and you can flip the mirror and see close up (I suddenly can't remember what the word is haha!) which is great for plucking your eyebrows or something. All in all a great mirror, this particular one is from Target I believe. In front are two smaller mirrors, a candle holder (of course!!) and a little heart shaped bowl that has bobby-pins in and a cheaper beauty blender I bought at TKmaxx.

In this flat storage organiser I bought at TKmaxx, everything is a face product. On the far right is a couple of stacked foundation, No7/Rimmel etc. I the centre there are two compartments: one at the back which is split into two (really confusing I know) on the right of this is some face creams and under eye cream. On the left side is again more foundations! As you can tell I'm kind of a hoarder when it comes to foundation haha! In front of those however I have some face primers from Benefit, No7 and Smashbox. On the far left of the organiser again...more foundations!! In front of it are two eos lipbalms...I really love these little things. Despite looking the part of an egg they are the most nourishing lip product I've ever used. Despite that snowman plate you can see is full of babylips, despite my love for them they do make my lips fairly dry which is kind of sad...but I'm still obbsessed with them...I really am in the market for the new crystal ones which I think have been introduced in the UK as well at least a couple of weeks ago.  Anyway I also have the second and third part of Proactive plus. There will also be a post about my experience with Proactive over the past couple months, so look out for that to. I also have a couple hand sanitisers because it is essential to me that I use this before I touch my face at all. This is because I have acne on my face, I dont really want to be putting more bacteria on my face.
This is the first drawer on the left of the Vanity when you look at the first couple pictures. On the left I have an assortment of different mascara's. Again a bit of a hoarder when it comes to them. A couple have never been used and a few have been used once but never do anything for my lashes so I need to look into getting rid of these. The likes of these mascaras is all over, No7, Rimmel, Maybelline. But as you saw earlier my favourites 'live' where they can be more accessible to me like my IT Cosmetics, Benefit and No7. The rest of these aren't suitable for everyday, I've forgotten about or sadly, have been 'replaced'. On the right of the drawer is a couple eye liners, but mostly full of single No7 shadows that come in the 'free sets if you buy two products or more' Boots occasionally have. I also have a few 6 shadow 'palettes', they aren't really, but I wouldn't know what else to call them. These can in a makeup set my dad got for me and they do have quite a nice pigment to them. However, I really would love some new ones, I just never justify the money for good quality eye shadows. In the back are a few more what actually might be classed as 'palettes' from a company called Me Cosmetics. I haven't really tried them but I  will update you when I do. These are called 'Sunrise' and 'Sunset' if you are interested.

Moving onto the next drawer: these are my powdered face products. A mixture of face powders...again a slight obsession here but not as bad as the other ones. One or two bronzers (but I just haven't found the right one for me yet) and a few powdered blushed. Again I should be in the market for some darker coloured blushes but I just never get around to it, will all the foundation's and mascara's I tend to buy haha.

Make sure you're either following me on bloglovin' or twitter: @for_my_love_of to be updated when I post. Remember look out for the No7 post and Proactive plus.

Hope you enjoyed this post, thank you for reading! Have a lovely day!

Updates and mini Forever21 haul!!

Hello everyone! It's been quite a little while since I've posted on here....

I have a couple reasons for that, one of which I went back to England for 3 weeks to visit with everyone, but before that I took a trip unto Pennsylvania and New York and had some personal things I was trying to think through which had me lets just say not in the right mood for blogging. But since then and I've come back is it bad to say I've kind of forgotten? I was trying to do a job search which was successful fortunately and I've been trying to get on top of some school work but now I am fully ready to get back into the swing of things/blogging son you should be seeing a lot more of me.

Summer Haul!!

Hello everyone hope you are doing well as usual and I want to apologise AGAIN for not having a blog post up recently, I know last time I was just finishing up with exams and was trying to focus on them rather than my blog as school is a priority. However, my posts have started back up again and as usual forgot to schedule some posts so I've left you all a bit hiatus here. It is for a reason that I’ve not yet mentioned on my blog I don't think, but I'm moving from where I live in North Yorkshire to Maryland USA.

My Skin Saviours

Hello again everyone! Hope you're week has gone well! Today I want to talk to you about something that has been such a skin savior for me (as you can probably tell from the title). But before I get into this I want to quickly say these products have worked for me and helped in my opinion, I know they might not work for everyone and I don’t know if they are proven to work or anything, I am simply just telling you my opinion on these products so yeaaahhh. Also I wanted to mention that I do take an pill to help control my acne, which I had been taking for 6 months before trying these products so and my skin had stayed pretty much the same for a few months, so I can give you pretty good outlook on these two products.

Update and Makeup Haul!

Hello everyone, hope you're well! Long time no see I'm afraid! Which is very much my own fault I'm afraid exams have gotten the better of me and my full concentration was on them for a while which is why content has been so sparse! I have so much revision and work to be doing that my teaches decided to spring on me/us at the last minute before exams! It was just chaos and I couldn't find the time I wanted to blogging on top of everything else! As I put exams and schooling ahead of blogging the lack of posts reflects that! and I am trullyyyy sorry!

New furniture

I have wanted new furniture for the longest of time now as the ones I had in my room before I’ve had since I was a baby and are wooden and have very big feet on the bottom so they weren’t the most attractive. But also there was a huge influence on me from tumblr and youtuber’s bedrooms as when I would scroll through or watch videos they would almost always have white, beautiful, sophisticated furniture and it looked so classy! I know it may be weird to call furniture classy and sophisticated but honestly to me they look so much more put together and girly and it looked so much better, especially as I have pink and purple walls (from 5 years ago ahah).

Have you heard? || H&M X Alexander Wang

I was extremely excited when I read that H&M and Alexander Wang are teaming up for a clothing and accessories line in November! Although it seems forever away, I can't wait to see what they've got in store for us! Especially, as H&M is my favourite high street shop as all my friends and family know! if I see one I have to go in...and I love the style of a lot of Alexander Wang Pieces!

When I first read about the team up I was quite surprised as Alexander Wang is a very expensive designer company and as I'm sure you know and H&M is merely highstreet- I say that but even Kate Middleton wears highstreet! Anyway I was just shocked by such a dramatic team up but the fact that they are so different makes it so exciting!

I'm sure I speak for the majority of us when I say we don't all have the money to go buying pieces of Alexander Wang clothing and accessories, even though some of their pieces are amazing.. I just can't afford them and wouldn't really want to spend all that money on them anyway! So the fact that they're teamed up with highstreet means now we can have that style for less which is very popular, especially recently.

Here's the link if you want to read all about it!:

Hope you have a great rest of your day, and let me know what you think of this team up in the comments!

Bourjois 123 Foundation Review

Hello everyone! Once again it’s that time on my blog to review a product! exciting!  in this case a foundation, and we all know foundations happen to be one of  my favourite makeup items to buy and try because of my acne and because I am obsessed with a matte face so always looking for one that can do that for me!

Today though it the Bourjois Paris 123 foundation that is said to have 3 different pigments to a. get rid of dark circles, but get rid of anti-dull complexion and c. anti-redness which was the main of why I was so interested, because although I don’t really have bags under my eyes, or a particularly dull complexion I do sometimes struggle with red areas so I thought I would see how this would go.Now I have to say I didn’t really see anything special abnout this foundation as it just seemed like a normal foundation to me. However I think  the main reason I think this is because I might have gotten the wrong colour? Yes I knowww but there’s a whole story behind this as it was in TkMaxx without a lid with no broken seal and I therefore was able to pay £4 for it, compared to the usual price of £9.99, I am a bargain hunter with makeup and wanted to try this particular foundationso of course had to buy it, and at first glace looked pretty pale. Obviously at this point I was in denial about how pale I really am… So the next day I put it on and it actually looked pretty good!

But by the end of the day when I had come home from school it had pretty much shifted and melted off my face, it wasn’t cute. But because it had done that and was the wrong colour part of my face (mainly around my jaw line and ears) was pale and them my cheeks working up were orange..again. Not cute. Saying this if it was the right colour it might have blended a bit nicer and not left such a harsh line of orange behind.
It did stay quite matte throughout the day I must say but was not worth it for me unless I wear it on occasions that I don’t have a long or stressful day or with dark lighting haha. It also did very well at fighting my red-ness in the way that you couldn’t really see the redness on my forehead and cheeks as you usually can with a foundation by the end of the day so that’s another perk.

This is how I wore it: Applied the maybelline baby face primer first, used a Real Techniques expert face brush to put the foundation on my face and blend it in. No7’s new concealar, Stay Matte powder with a Real techniques powder brush and a little blush again with a Real Techniques brush and then the rest of my makeup. That is usually what I pair with my foundations but I never really have a huge issue with it shifting on my face, it’s usually oilyness. But again the colour is probably the issue here.

Overall about a 4 out of 5 I say this because if I had the right colour I feel like this would be great for me! Maybe I’ll reinvest in the lighter one!

Max Factor Clump Defy Review

the overall packaging
Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a great Monday! I am doing a little review today of the Max Factor Clump Defy Review because it's one of my all time favourite drug store mascaras!

First of all, as I'm sure you all know if you regularly read my posts I have quite oily skin, including my eye lids. This means that sometimes mascara I'm wearing smudges and I absolutely hate it! But with this mascara that does not happen and I looove that! I know I could wear a waterproof mascara but it's so much easier to take off and it just sits better on my lashes!

This mascara is absolutely lovely on the lashes and makes them look really spaced out and volumised! But also living up to the name of the mascara there are no clumps in this mascara which is a major plus! It looks very natural while still giving the really long effect even to those lower lashes! the curved brush really makes it easy to hit all of those lashes easily! Plus the packaging is just so sleek and cute!

Basically for the price that it is which I think is about £10.99 so although it's one of the more expensive mascaras at Boots, it honestly is worth the money! It works so well and does exactly what it says on the outside! If you're looking for a new one definitely try  it out!!!

the curved brush
these are my lashes but also curled just to give you an idea.
sleek and cute packaging
